Shawn Dickinson
Physical Therapist Assistant
“I love helping people regain their activities and their lives.”
Shawn is originally from Lacey, WA, graduating from Timberline High School. She later relocated to Shelton and attended Olympic College, graduating with her Associate in Arts and Sciences in 2000. Before returning back to school in 2013, she filled the years with her children, working with other people’s children, and farm life. Her first introduction to physical therapy was while working in the school district with children with special needs. There she saw how much of a difference physical therapy made in their lives and knew she wanted to be a part of helping people in that way. Shawn returned to Olympic College and completed their Physical Therapy Assistant (P.T.A.) program, graduating in 2015.
Shawn loves spending time with her 3 children and her 2 grandchildren along with spending time outdoors—especially kayaking. Her love for the outdoors, recreational activities, and kayaking has influenced her approach for maintaining and improving physical function in the patients she has the opportunity to work with. She loves coming to work each day, knowing that she gets to help people get back to doing the things they love and reclaiming their lives after injury.
